In 1993 a Parisian dog fashion brand threw an exclusive VIP club night titled “Le Bark Électrique”, complete with filtered toilet water, a sniff lounge and a set by DJ Tout Crouton. The opening track, a pulsating remix of a doorbell, sent the dogs into a frenzy and triggered something primal in the canine guests. Within minutes, over 200 dogs began defecating in sync with the bass drops. The event was eventually shut down after a confused bulldog tried to mate with the smoke machine and caused an electrical fire.
