Donkey Amusement Park

The Donkey Amusement Park opened in Los Alamos in 1972 after the local council accidentally funded it instead of a pigeon relocation facility. Its founder, Señor Pablo Rojos, believed donkeys were “the forgotten rollercoasters of the soul.” Being a nihilist, he built no rides, no games, and no toilets. The only attractions were three donkeys. One of them, Alberto, once tripped over a cigarette and jumped over the resulting fire. This became the main show for the next fourteen years.
