'The Rules of Pain' was written in 1923 by Lithuanian Professor Ludo Žukauskas. According to Ludo 'pleasure is a tourist, pain is a citizen.' The professor thought pain needed rules because 'to suffer without guidelines is barbarism.' Žukauskas sadly died in 1926, when he attempted to demonstrate 'Rule 7: Pain is musical' by playing an accordion made entirely of razor blades.
