Stew Sock Beef Puppet - Fan Day 1992

Every year on the second Saturday of January and September, hundreds gather to celebrate the legacy of one of history’s most misunderstood meat icons: Stew Sock Beef Puppet – half sock, half stew, all legend. The event is called SockFest, and fans wear beef-filled balaclavas and freshly minced meat sweaters. The highlight of SockFest is a parade featuring a 52-foot meat puppet effigy of Stew Sock, processed through a parking lot while attendees recite meat-based poetry, accompanied by a tuba filled with beef broth.
