The Boy Machine was a popular Moldovan Agro-Noir series from the 1970s. Each episode followed tractor Red-1200 helping someone — rescuing runaway goats, delivering newborn calves, and turning his headlights into a light show so the orphans could have their first disco. The series was intended to celebrate agricultural productivity, but fans mostly tuned in for the romance between Red-1200 and a widowed beekeeper named Lenuta. Their wedding remains the most-watched episode in all of Plow-Fi history.
