The Milkshake Mountain Rebellion

The Milkshake Mountain Rebellion (1967–1969) marked the rise of the Lactose Liberation Front. For centuries, the cows of the LLF had given their milk in silence, only to see it whipped and blended. Milkshakes, they argued, were the final insult: a carnival of excess in which their labor was buried beneath sprinkles. By 1969, however, the cows remembered they actually preferred eating grass, abandoned the battlefield, and returned to grazing as if nothing had ever happened.
